The Directorate of Hotels and Tourism (Hakha Office) was established on 1st of December in 2016 at Hakha, the capital of Chin State, where the Chin State Government is based as State Level Office. The Directorate of Hotels and Tourism (Hakha Office) is undertaking activities for the systematic development of tourism industry, human resources development in tourism sector, enhancing the quality of tourism related services, a systematic development of hotel industry and development of community based tourism in Chin State, and also promoting Chin State tourism information. A Secretariat office for Chin State Tourism Committee has been opened together with the Directorate of Hotels and Tourism. ​
